Planz Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Welcome to Planz. These guidelines exist to keep the community safe, respectful, and focused on what brings us together: shared hobbies and real plans with real people.
By using Planz, you agree to follow these guidelines. Please read them. They are short on purpose.
1. What Planz Is (and Isn't)
Planz is a hobby-native social platform. It exists so people in the UAE can find others who share their interests and do things together in real life.
Planz is not a dating app. It is not a place to find romantic partners, arrange dates, or send flirtatious messages to strangers. This is the most important rule we have. We designed everything about Planz around shared activities, not attraction. Users who treat Planz as a dating platform will be removed.
Planz is built on a simple idea: commonality first. You are here because you care about the same things as other people here. Start there.
2. Respect and Conduct
Treat every person on Planz the way you would want to be treated at a group activity with people you just met.
Required:
- Be respectful in all interactions, including chats, plan discussions, and profiles.
- Respect boundaries. If someone declines an invitation or does not respond, move on.
- Be inclusive. Planz serves people of all nationalities, backgrounds, and abilities in the UAE.
Not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind.
- Discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
- Hate speech, slurs, or dehumanizing language.
- Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate sexual content.
- Stalking or repeated unwanted contact after someone has asked you to stop.
3. Planz and Plan Rules
When you join a plan or respond to a nudge, you are making a commitment to real people who are counting on you.
- Honor your commitments. If you say you are going, go.
- Cancel with notice. If something comes up, let the group know as early as possible. Do not just disappear.
- Be on time. Other people planned their day around this activity.
- Do not create fake or misleading plans. Every nudge and plan should be a genuine invitation to do something real.
- Respect the plan details. If a plan has a participant limit, a skill level, or other requirements, respect them. Do not show up with uninvited guests unless the organizer approves.
Repeatedly bailing on plans without notice will result in account restrictions.
4. Chat Rules
Chat on Planz exists to coordinate plans and connect with people who share your interests.
Not allowed:
- Spam or repetitive messages across multiple groups.
- Solicitation, advertising, or promotion of products, services, or other platforms.
- Sharing other people's private information (phone numbers, addresses, photos) without their consent.
- Sending unsolicited links, especially to external platforms, marketplaces, or messaging apps.
- Chain messages, phishing attempts, or scam content.
- Explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate media.
Good practice:
- Keep conversations relevant to the group's interest or the plan being discussed.
- If a conversation is not relevant to the group, take it to a direct message (with people you are connected with).
5. Profile Authenticity
Your Planz profile should represent the real you.
- Use your real name. Nicknames are fine if they are genuinely what people call you. Fake names, joke names, or celebrity names are not allowed.
- Use real, recent photos of yourself. No stock photos, memes, AI-generated faces, or photos of other people.
- Do not impersonate another person. This includes public figures, other Planz users, or fictional characters.
- Keep your bio honest. Misrepresenting your interests, experience level, or identity to gain access to plans is not allowed.
We may ask you to verify your identity if your profile is flagged. Accounts that cannot be verified may be suspended.
6. Booking and Payment
Some plans on Planz involve bookings or payments for activities and venues.
- Honor your bookings. If you confirm a booking that involves a payment, follow through.
- No payment fraud. Chargebacks on legitimate bookings, using stolen payment methods, or any form of payment manipulation will result in an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to authorities.
- Organizer transparency. If a plan has costs, the organizer must make them clear upfront. No hidden fees or surprise charges.
- Refund disputes. If you have a dispute about a payment, contact us at support@planz.ae. Do not harass the organizer or other participants.
7. Safety
Your safety matters more than any plan.
- Meet in public venues. Planz plans happen at real venues and public locations. Be cautious about plans that ask you to meet at private residences, especially with people you do not know.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. You do not owe anyone an explanation.
- Block freely. You can block any user at any time for any reason. No justification needed.
- Report concerns immediately. If someone makes you feel unsafe, report them. We review every report.
- Do not share personal information too quickly. Your phone number, home address, and workplace are yours to share on your own terms, not through Planz profiles or group chats.
- Planz is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use Planz. If you suspect someone is under 18, report it.
8. What Happens When Rules Are Broken
We enforce these guidelines consistently. What happens depends on the severity and pattern.
Warning. For first-time minor violations (late cancellations, off-topic chat, borderline profile content), we will send you a warning explaining what happened and what to change.
Temporary suspension. For repeated minor violations or moderate violations (harassment, misleading plans, inappropriate content), your account may be suspended for a defined period. You will be told why and for how long.
Permanent ban. For severe violations (threats, hate speech, payment fraud, impersonation, sexual harassment, predatory behavior, any illegal activity), your account will be permanently removed. There is no appeal process for the most serious violations.
We may skip directly to suspension or a permanent ban depending on severity. A first offense can result in a permanent ban if the violation is serious enough.
9. Reporting
If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it.
How to report:
- In-app: Tap the three-dot menu on any profile, message, or plan and select "Report." Choose the reason and add any details that help us understand what happened.
- Email: Contact us at support@planz.ae with the username, a description of the issue, and screenshots if available.
What happens after you report:
- Every report is reviewed by a real person.
- We do not reveal who filed the report to the person being reported.
- You may receive a follow-up if we need more information.
- We aim to resolve reports within 48 hours.
False or malicious reports (filing reports to harass someone or to get someone removed without cause) are themselves a violation of these guidelines.
10. Changes to Guidelines
We may update these guidelines as Planz grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will notify you in the app. Continued use of Planz after changes are posted means you accept the updated guidelines.
If you have questions about these guidelines, reach out to us at support@planz.ae.
Planz exists because we believe the best way to meet people is by doing things together. These guidelines protect that idea. Thank you for being part of it.
